Françoise Blin de Bourdon Society (Planned Giving)
Named after Francoise Blin de Bourdon, a French aristocrat woman who lived in Amiens, France, at the time of the Revolution. Francoise met Julie Billiart shortly after the revolution. Together with several other interested women they reached out to poor women and children in the City of Aimens. Eventually Julie and Françoise founded a religious order which was dedicated to the education of the poor. Their work flourished because Francoise was willing to share her wealth. Francoise became the second superior general of the congregation of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur after the death of Julie Billiart in 1816. She was affectionately known in her Congregation as Mere St. Joseph. It is in the spirit of generosity that the following friends and alumnae of Notre Dame High School for Girls have been inspired to include the school in their estate plans. We truly appreciate their commitment and ask God to bless them abundantly.
