Alumnae Wall of Fame

The Notre Dame High School for Girls Hall of Fame was begun in 1992. Its purpose is twofold. First is the desire to provide recognition for alumnae from all walks of life who demonstrate on a day to day
basis, the values and attitudes that were learned and reinforced during their years as students at NDHS.

Second is the desire to provide a variety of positive role models for current Notre Dame students. It struck
us that often in society and the media, "fame" is only associated with "celebrity." It was important that
students realize that in life, it is often doing what might seem like "ordinary" things in extraordinary
ways that makes life better for all.

The pictures and biographical information on display in the Hall of Fame bring to life these extraordinary women for all those who pass by.

We are proud that the alumnae inducted into the Hall of Fame come from all walks of life, many different communities and have performed "good works" to the betterment of their communities.

We are further proud to acknowledge that those selected are representative of thousands of our alumnae who reside all over the world and who continue to hold Notre Dame High School for Girls close to their hearts.

With them we proclaim proudly, "How Good is the Good God!"

If you would like to nominate an alum to the Hall of Fame, please click here, or call Sr. Bridget Murphy at
773-622-9494. We are particularly looking for nominations from the classes of 1965, 1967, 1974, 1980, 1982, and 1985 - 1992.
