Application Process

NEW STUDENTS
Take the Placement Test
Submit the following documents:
a. 7th grade report card
b. 8th grade report card
c. Standardized test score history
d. Application papers (provided by Notre Dame)

If you have already taken a placement test and need an application packet, please call Ms. Rachel McMillin at 773-622-9494.

We make our decisions on acceptance once the test scores and other necessary documents have been received. Once accepted, you will be required to provide copies of your final report card and diploma upon completion of 8th grade.

Registration takes place in starting in March. At this time, you and your family will meet with a member of the Notre Dame faculty to discuss your test results and selection of classes for the upcoming year.

TRANSFER STUDENTS
Students interested in transferring from another school to Notre Dame High School for Girls should contact the Admissions Manager, Ms. Rachel McMillin at (773) 622-9494, or at rmcmillin@ndhs4girls.org. A transfer packet will be mailed to you.

Students are required to provide a copy of transcripts, discipline records and attendance records from their current school.

Acceptance at Notre Dame is based on a student's academic record as well as her discipline and attendance records. An interview is conducted with the student and her parents.

At Notre Dame we make every attempt to make the transfer transition as smooth as possible. Each transfer student is assigned a student mentor to serve as her guide and coach through the first year. She is also kept in close contact with the Guidance
Department. A student who has had any academic difficulty is assigned to a Learning Resource Center where her progress is monitored, and additional help can be attained.
